Newcastle Jets have re-signed Academy graduate Lachlan Bayliss for the next two Isuzu UTE A-League seasons.
Bayliss has committed his future to the Jets, having returned to McDonald Jones Stadium from F3 rivals Central Coast Mariners last season.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who previously played in Newcastle’s Academy, made 13 appearances across all competitions for the Jets in 2023-24.

“I’m very grateful to the club and the coaching staff to extend my time here at the club for another two seasons,” said Bayliss.
“I love playing here, in front of our fans at McDonald Jones Stadium and living in Newcastle.”
The Jets are busy preparing for the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Led by new ownership group Maverick Sports Partners, the Jets have handed out scholarship contracts to Ben van Dorssen, Alex Nunes and Zac Bowling, while signing Eli Adams and Oscar Fryer.
“Lachlan continued to develop as the year progressed and he really started to find his feet towards the second half of the season,” Newcastle head coach Rob Stanton said of Bayliss.
“This season he can push himself even further to be the best player he can be and he’s a player I know the fans enjoy watching as he’s creative on the ball and relentless in defence without it.”
