Sydney FC have boosted their attacking stocks with the signing of prolific former Premier League striker Adam le Fondre on a multi-year deal.
Sydney FC have added some attacking firepower to their squad for the Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season with the signing of former Premier League striker Adam Le Fondre.
The 31-year-old hitman has signed a multi-year deal with the Sky Blues after he was released by English Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers.

Le Fondre plays as a centre forward and will be tasked with taking the place of 2017-18 Hyundai A-League golden boot winner Bobo, who struck 27 goals in 28 games as the Sky Blues stormed to the Premiers Plate by 14 points.
It’s a big signing for new boss Steve Corica ahead of the club’s FFA Cup clash in Cairns on Tuesday night.
Le Fondre rose to fame by scoring 12 goals for Reading in his maiden Premier League season in 2012-13.
He won the Royals’ Player of the Season Award during that campaign, as well as their first ever Premier League Player of the Month award.
The Englishman, affectionately known as ALF or Alfie scored 41 goals in 110 appearances for the Royals across the Premier League and Championship in one of the most prolific spells in his career.
“This is the opportunity of a lifetime for me and I’m very much eager to get started at Sydney FC,” Le Fondre said.
And he could get started with his new club as early as Tuesday night for Sydney’s trip to Cairns.
Corica hasn’t ruled out including his new star striker for the Round of 16 clash, although may give him time in Sydney to recover and re-adjust from the long flight to Australia.
Sydney FC Head Coach Steve Corica welcomed Le Fondre to the club and is looking forward to watching him succeed.
“Adam’s record speaks for itself, he’s a natural goal-scorer and at 31 he is in his prime,” he said.
“To reach double figures in your first Premier League season is no mean feat and I’m sure he will become a big success at Sydney FC.
“We already have the quality to provide Adam with the service he thrives on and with one or two more players to come, it is going to be extremely exciting to see what he will produce in Sky Blue.”
The Sky Blues are aiming to defend the FFA Cup crown they won in 2017, as well as having one eye on the start of their Hyundai A-League 2018/19 Season opener away to Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium on Friday 19 October.
