Melbourne Victory jumped to third spot on the Hyundai A-League ladder following their dominant 5-2 win over Central Coast Mariners.
And it was prolific Victory hitman Besast Berisha who was the difference between the two sides at AAMI, getting an assist to go with his hat-trick of goals.
The striker set up Victory’s first goal of the night, after his precise through ball fell into the stride of Leroy George who finished expertly.
It was then the Berisha show either side of the break.

First, George turned provider, playing Berisha through and he clinically placed his right-footed shot into the bottom corner.
The result was then put to bed 10 minutes into the second half, as James Troisi put the ball on a platter for Berisha, who’s left-footed strike found the top corner.
‘Bes’ then put the final nail in the coffin, as a delightful cross from Terry Antonis found the strikers head, completing a perfect hat-trick.
The treble now sees Berisha moves up to third on the Golden Boot standings.
And he’ll be hoping to continue this vein of goal-scoring form with the Hyundai A-League Finals Series just around the corner.
