Former Newcastle Jets playmaker Devante Clut has found a new club, linking up with NPL NSW outfit Blacktown City Demons.
Clut parted ways with the Jets by mutual consent after failing to break into Ernie Merrick’s first team plans.
And he’s wasted little time sorting out his next destination, confirming on Monday he will play the 2018 season with Blacktown City.
“Devante is a great addition to the squad and I look forward to working with him on the park,” Demons boss Mark Crittenden said.
“We will sit down with him in coming days and work on setting some goals for him this season.”
Hard work continues , ready to put it all on the line over the next 7 months and show I have what it takesto get back in the league. Thank you Blacktown City FC for this opportunity 🔴⚫️ pic.twitter.com/wKmBKtgAi7

Clut made 24 appearances for the Jets after arriving at the club in 2016 from Brisbane Roar.
He’ll wear the number seven jersey for Blacktown.
Clut’s signing is a huge addition for the Demons as they look to get back to the top of the NSW NPL in 2018 as well as go for another run deep into the Westfield FFA Cup.
