The January transfer window is now closed in the Hyundai A-League, with a number of clubs picking up some key signings as they look to bolster their squads on the run-in to the Finals Series.

Dario Vidosic (Melbourne City)
After he was released by Wellington Phoenix, the fringe Caltex Socceroo ended up at City and has made an immediate impact.
Vidosic has added some creativity and spark to City’s midfield, as well as chipping in with a couple of goals, including a stunner against Adelaide United.
The 30-year-old could be City’s x-factor in their title push over the last third of the season.
Terry Antonis (Melbourne Victory)
Struggling for game time abroad, Antonis was thrown a lifeline by Victory and looks to be an astute pick-up by Kevin Muscat.
The ex-Sydney FC and Wanderers playmaker adds a little more creativity in the middle of the pitch alongside Carl Valeri.
His acquisition is even more important now Mark Milligan has moved to Saudi Arabia.
Patricio Rodriguez (Newcastle Jets)
His only played a handful of games but the Argentine ace looks a quality addition to the high-flying Jets.
Possessing silky skills, the ability to pick a pass and a goal-scoring threat, Rodriguez – a former teammate of Neymar – is the type of player that can light up the Hyundai A-League.
If he can really hit his straps, the Jets will be serious contenders come April and May.
Nathan Burns (Wellington Phoenix)
How good is it to have the former Johnny Warren Medallist back in the Hyundai A-League.
Burns dominated the competition in his first stint in Wellington and the early signs are he could get back to that type of form in coming weeks.

Chris Ikonomidis (Western Sydney Wanderers)
The fact Ikonomidis has come from Serie A giants Lazio to Sydney’s west shows just how much talent this kid has.
The 22-year-old, who has played six times for the Caltex Socceroos, has joined the Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the season.
With the lure of breaking into the Australian squad for the FIFA World Cup in Russia, Ikonomidis will be extra motivated to perform, which is perfect for Josep Gombau’s men.
