He was in the Hyundai A-League Team of the Week and now Perth Glory star Diego Castro has earned his spot alongside some of the world’s best in the EA Sports’ FIFA Team of the Week.
The Spanish whiz made the cut after his two goals – and an assist – in Glory’s 3-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers last weekend.
Castro’s class stole the show at nib Stadium and re-ignited Glory’s Hyundai A-League finals hopes.
And his man-of-the-match performance sees him join the likes of Angel Di Maria (PSG), Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) and Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich) as the best performers from around the globe.
After a slow start to the campaign, Castro has hit form in recent weeks for Kenny Lowe’s men but appears set for a huge end to the season.
And Castro will again be key in Glory’s rebel Play Football Round trip to Adelaide to face the Reds on Saturday night.
A win for Glory would see them move into the top six, for 24 hours at least.
