Sydney FC star Bobo remains an unstoppable force in front of goal as he builds towards what would be a maiden Hyundai A-League Golden Boot award.
Can anyone catch the free-scoring forward?
Here’s a look at the closest contenders ahead of Round 17.
15 goals: Bobo
Bobo’s back-to-back hat-tricks in December saw him explode clear of the pack and he’s continued that form with two goals in the three games since.
Already level with the 15 he scored in his debut campaign, the Brazilian is on track to finish as the competition’s top marksman this time around.
13 goals: Ross McCormack
Breathing down Bobo’s neck is set-piece master Ross McCormack.
The in-form Scottish striker has already struck six times in January, including a pair of braces, proving he’s dangerous in a wide variety of situations.
8 goals: Adrian Mierzejewski, Andrija Kaluderovic
Big things were expected of Adrian Mierzejewski and the Pole hasn’t disappointed, allying his classy ability on the ball with an exceptional run of six goals since Round 10.
Andrija Kaluderovic has been just as valuable for Wellington Phoenix and, while he hasn’t netted in four games, the recent recruitment of new attacking weapons should create more opportunities.
7 goals: Roy O’Donovan, Andrew Nabbout, Massimo Maccarone
Roy O’Donovan’s lengthy injury absence has been partially offset by Andrew Nabbout’s fine form for Newcastle Jets, the adaptable winger’s latest strike coming in the entertaining 2-2 draw with Sydney in Round 14.
Massimo Maccarone, meanwhile, remains a steady source of goals for Brisbane Roar, notching four times over the last eight rounds.
6 goals: Besart Berisha, Oriol Riera, Dimitri Petratos
On target in four of the opening nine rounds, Besart Berisha’s form has stalled somewhat with only two in his last seven appearances.
He’s joined on six goals by fit-again Western Sydney striker Oriol Riera, who shook off recurring injury complaints to net twice in two matches at the turn of the year.
Even more impressively, Dimitri Petratos’ outstanding season already has the Jets star level with his best ever return across a single Hyundai A-League regular season.
