Sam Kerr scored a stunning 10-minute hat trick for the visitors Perth Glory but it wasn’t enough as they drew 3-3 with Newcastle Jets on Saturday night at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Jets took a 1-0 lead to the break thanks to Arin Gilliland.
Van Egmond released a charging Gilliland courtesy of a ball over the top, her run drew Maizels off her line and Gilliland skipped around the Glory custodian to finish with a clinical strike.
Then an incredible second half unfolded.

The Westfield Matildas star broke free down the right edge and slotted calmly across Brit Eckerstrom with a a rifled drive that was unstoppable.
Just minutes later and Kerr was at it again, curling home a finish from inside the box to put the visitors ahead.
However, the Jets wouldn’t lie down and within minutes of conceding the match was back level as Katie Stengel scored her fifth goal of the campaign.
Kerr than hit her third to seal a hat-trick but in time added on the Jets incredibly hit a third goal to end a remarkable night.
