Andrew Hoole (Mariners v Sydney)

He may have struggled in front of goal in the past but Hoole confidently tucked away a fine Mariners counter against his former side on Friday night.

The former Newcastle midfielder finished coolly past Andrew Redmayne and didn’t he enjoy it!

Nikola Mileusnic (United v Jets)

Having scored a hat-trick in the Westfield FFA Cup quarter-finals, Mileusnic ended a two-game goal drought for the Reds with a pin-point finish against Newcastle.

Fed through clear on goal, the attacker showed plenty of composure to slide the ball past the oncoming Jack Duncan.

Goran Paracki (Phoenix v Glory)

The chance may have been created by a poor back pass from Perth’s Scott Neville but Paracki’s finish on a tight angle was all class.

A first A-League goal for the Croatian midfielder clearly meant a lot as he celebrated the strike in emotional fashion.
