Australian football hero, Tim Cahill, invited local school, The Grange P-12 College, to Melbourne City Football Club to help launch the 2018 Foxtel Tim Cahill Ambitions Tour.
The 16 young players participated in an exclusive training session led by Tim Cahill and Foxtel Head Coach, Robbie Anderson.
They were then taken on a facility tour by Cahill and ex-Foxtel Academy participant and Melbourne City player, Sofia Sakalis, before experiencing a real-life press conference with Tim Cahill.
The 2018 Ambitions Tour is a 5-day camp held in Melbourne in January, which offers access to the best in the Australian football industry.
On top of developing crucial skills both on and off the field, two lucky players will go on to be recipients of the Tim Cahill Academy Scholarship, which includes several exclusive football experiences across the year, plus, ongoing personal mentorship from the Socceroo.
This is the ultimate development opportunity for any aspiring footballer.
“For me, it is all about inspiring the next generation of Australian footballers and giving them the opportunity to experience the game with the best coaches in the business” Cahill said
We’ll be selecting the lucky teenagers from right across Australia. The Foxtel Tim Cahill Academy is all part of Foxtel’s ongoing commitment to give back to local communities across Australia.
