Adelaide United have announced that four players from America will play for the Reds in the Westfield W-League 2017/18 Season.
Among the quartet is Katie Naughton and Danielle Colaprico, who played for the club last season, while Makenzy Doniak and Alyssa Mautz have joined Ivan Karlović’s squad.
Naughton was the Reds’ vice-captain last season, and has represented the USA at U-15, U-17, U-18, U-20 and U-23 levels.
The central defender, 23, played all 12 matches for the Reds last season.
Colaprico, who also plays for the Chicago Red Stars, was NWSL’s Rookie of the Year in 2015.
The 24-year-old midfielder has received two call-ups to the United States Women’s National Team in November 2015 and October 2016.
Doniak arrives at the Reds having played for Western New York Flash in the NWSL, before the club was relocated to North Carolina to become the Courage for the 2017 season.
The 23-year-old attacker has accumulated 45 appearances in the NWSL, scoring four goals in the process and has represented the U.S. at U-20 and U-23 levels.
And 28-year-old Mautz brings plenty of experience, having scored 10 goals in 97 matches in the NWSL.
The midfielder also enjoyed a spell with Russian team FC Zorky in 2013, before playing every minute in every match with Perth Glory in the last Westfield W-League campaign.
“We are delighted to have retained Danny and Katie for the upcoming season,” Karlovic said.
“And we are also excited to see what Makenzy and Alyssa will bring to the squad.
“These players are all established American imports with a lot of experience which will strengthen our push for a successful season.”
Adelaide United have the bye in the opening round, starting their campaign next weekend away to Western Sydney Wanderers.
