New boys Roy O’Donovan and Dimitri Petratos have both found the net as Newcastle Jets opened their pre-season schedule with a 2-0 win over Weston Workers Bears on Tuesday night.
GOALS
15th minute: Roy O’Donovan
Superb lead-up work by Petratos whose lofted pass was inch-perfect for Andrew Nabbout, who squared the ball for O’Donovan to sweep home and open his Jets account.
47th minute: Dimitri Petratos
Englishman Wayne Brown passed to Petratos who had acres of space just outside the box. The attacker showed some quick feet to slide a clinical shot past Weston keeper Kane Runge.

“It was good to have a run tonight and Weston made it tough for us, they were difficult to break down.
“Given the amount of training that we have done over the past two weeks and also this morning I thought we showed some good signs under fatigue.
