Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi said his younger players showed what they can do at senior level after the Hyundai A-League outfit through Tuesday night’s ACL qualifier to set up a clash with Shanghai Shenhua next week.
Roar eased past a plucky Global FC from the Philippines 6-0 at Suncorp to confirm a clash with Gus Poyet’s Shanghai Shenhua next Wednesday night (Feb 8) for a place in the ACL group stage.
The Chinese Super League club feature Carlos Tevez, the former Manchester United striker reportedly on the most lucrative contract in world football.

Aloisi was proud of how his younger squad players such as Shannon Brady, Dane Ingham and former Joeys captain Joe Caletti stepped up.
“It was good to give a lot of the young boys an opportunity to give them a taste of what it’s like in Asia.
“And you have to be switched on in these games because the opposition have some quality players,” he told Fox Sports.
