The Football Federation Australia (FFA) independent Disciplinary & Ethics Committee – comprising of Lachlan Gyles SC (Acting Chair), Shaun McCarthy and Robert Wheatley (the Committee) – today delivered their determination in the matter of Dino Djulbic of Perth Glory (the Player).

The matter related to an incident which took place in or around the 91st minute of Perth Glory’s Round 12 Hyundai A-League Match against Melbourne City FC on Tuesday, 27 December 2016.

The matter was referred to the Committee by the Player on the sole question of sanction.

The Committee determined that the Player must serve a suspension of the Mandatory Match Suspension plus two (2) additional Hyundai A-League matches for committing the offence of “Assault on a player (e.g. violent conduct when not challenging for the ball) including an attempted Assault on a Player” against Fernando Brandan (Melbourne City FC).

Dino Djulbic was sent off in Round 12 against Melbourne City.

The determination confirms the sanction originally proposed by the Match Review Panel on 28 December 2016.

The Player has the right to appeal the determination of the Committee. If the Player intends to do so, he must advise FFA within 7 days of receiving the written determination.
