In-form striker Andy Keogh believes Perth Glory should be higher up the Hyundai A-League ladder and is confident they are approaching their best football of the campaign.
Kenny Lowe’s side returned to winning ways on Friday night with a vital and hard-earned 3-1 victory over Adelaide United in front of more than 10,000 fans at nib Stadium.
Keogh took his season tally to six goals with his second-half double to ensure all three points in a fiery affair.

The Irishman believes his side were worthy winners against the Reds – despite going behind in the first half – and feels it was a reward for their hard work over the last month.
“We deserved it,” Keogh said.
“We’ve been playing some good football. But to get the three points on the board is important for confidence and morale.
Keogh believes the results from the previous three matches before Friday’s night’s win didn’t truly reflect the effort and quality Perth had been displaying.
The 30-year-old said the squad has set high expectations and standards and is adamant the side belongs near the summit of the table.
“We should be second in the table I think,” Keogh said.
“That’s where we should be, top 2.”
Keogh said Glory’s best was still ahead of them in season 2016/17 and can see plenty of positives.
“We’re working hard at the training ground,” he said.
“Shane Lowry’s back, Tags (Adam Taggart) is getting back now,
“We’ve got good options, and some of the young lads are really champing at the bit to make a name for themselves, so that’s important as well,” Keogh added.
Glory are in action on Thursday night in round 8 with a trip to the Central Coast to play the Mariners.
