There is an extra reason for Westfield W-League fans to smile this weekend with matches being broadcast on both Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the usual Sunday afternoon match, Fox Sports and ABCTV will both show a LIVE broadcast of the Westfield W-League on Saturday featuring a potentially epic contest as champions Melbourne City visit Canberra United.
Last year Canberra were the only team to stay on Melbourne City’s tail during the regular season. They may have failed in that task, but can they become the first team to defeat the champions in the Westfield W-League?
The match will be broadcast at 3pm on Fox Sports 505 and ABCTV.
A day later it will be equally hard-fought and intriguing affair as Sydney FC host Western Sydney Wanderers in the Harbour City derby. Can the Wanderers improve on their record of one wins from eight matches against the Sky Blues?
