Reigning Hyundai A-League champions Adelaide United have announced the club has officially surpassed its all-time membership record.
As it stands, the Reds have 9,589 members, absolutely smashing last season’s membership tally at the same time with 6,899, and surpassing 9,505 – the club’s all-time membership record.
Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Grant Mayer, praised the Reds’ family for supporting the Club so significantly this season, but urged those yet to join to do so to be part of another historical year.
“The support shown by the public of South Australia and Adelaide United fans around the country has been outstanding,” Mayer said.
“To have surpassed our record membership tally so early on in the season is a fantastic achievement and one that is testament to the strong support we’ve already felt at our first three home matches.
“Comparing where the Club’s membership figures were at this time last season, they’re almost incomparable and long may that continue.
“For those that are yet to get on-board, now is the perfect time to do so because our boys are only going to get better as the season progresses.
“With the return of Marcelo Carrusca last weekend and the impending return of James Holland, Sergio Cirio, Henrique, and Michael Marrone, our squad is getting stronger week by week.
“We have memberships that suit everyone and with plenty of football still to play in the Hyundai A League, Westfield W-League and National Youth League, as well as the AFC Champions League, now is the time to get on board!”
