The Jets took on an understrength City in Ballarat on Sunday and scored twice in each half to emerge convincing 4-0 winners over John van ‘t Schip’s troops.
Dane Morten Nordstrand finished with a brace for the manager-less Jets, with Andrew Nabbout and Kristian Brymora scoring the other goals.
It was a fifth straight pre-season win for Newcastle, who will back up this Saturday in Cessnock for a clash with Western Sydney Wanderers.
