Perth coach Kenny Lowe can’t wait to see Adam Taggart back in a Glory shirt next season and revealed the club is closing in on more signings.

Lowe praised the efforts of his squad following a remarkable campaign that ended at the hands of Melbourne City last weekend, as he looks towards next season with high hopes.
Glory’s inspired rise from the foot of the table to a finals spot lit up the Hyundai A-League this season, with imports Andy Keogh and Alex Tobin Award winner Diego Castro both playing vital roles.
Lowe said Glory’s achievements this season laid the perfect “base” for the squad to build on for next year’s campaign.
“Everyone can hold their heads up high” he said
“There’s optimism, there’s hope, and now we’ve got a good scenario,” Lowe declared.
“Everybody at the club has contributed on and off the field, we’ve earned a lot of respect, everything’s in a good place.”
There was no dwelling on the defeat to Melbourne City, with Lowe refusing to entertain the notion that the players ran out of steam.
“We’ve probably been one of the fittest teams in the league. We’ve worked ever so hard this season,” he said.
Perth’s late success which included 10 wins from their final 12 regular season fixtures, signals a bright future for the club in Lowe’s eyes.
“We don’t have to change 14 or 12 [players], which has happened in the two seasons I’ve been here,” he said.
Lowe said the talent of January signing Adam Taggart from English Championship side Fulham, can further add to the already impressive attacking options for the Glory.
“I’ve known Tags (Taggart) since he was 13 or 14; we know what we’re getting,” Lowe said.
“He’s been the A-League’s top scorer, he’s been to a World Cup and played against Spain and Holland, I think that in itself says what we’re getting,
“He’s hungry, and trust me, a hungry Adam Taggart is a bloody good footballer.”
Lowe also disclosed that some exciting acquisitions would be announced by the club soon.
“We’ve got two or three things that I’m safe to say are bubbling,” he revealed.
