Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold says the long travel won’t affect the Sky Blues in Wednesday night’s clash with Pohang Steelers at the Steelyard, saying his team have nothing to lose.
Sydney FC have been acclimatizing in South Korea since arriving from a humid Sydney on Sunday ahead of their matchday 3 clash with the Steelers.
But Arnold told the official pre-match press conference the strong mentality of his players means they’ll be able to deal with the flights and coach travel as well as the chilly weather in Pohang.
The Sky Blues flew into Seoul before flying onto Busan followed by a 90-minute coach ride to Pohang.
It hasn’t been easy but Arnold was putting on a brave face.
“It won’t have any effect at all,” he told reporters.
“Australians have a strong mentality. Nothing really worries us.
