10: Adam Taggart (signed by Perth Glory) Ok, he’s not eligible till next season, but which Glory fan isn’t dreaming of a Keogh, Castro, Taggart front-line next season?
9: Anthony Caceres (signed by Melbourne City) A long-time Mariners star of the future, City signed the playmaker after he signed for the CFG. And he is planning on taking his game to the next level at City.
8: Stefan Mauk (signed by Adelaide United) His cross ball for Adelaide’s opening goal on Friday night a timely reminder of his quality as he looks to replace Jimmy Jeggo at his hometown club.
7: David Carney (signed by Sydney FC) Jets fans may not agree but the Sky Blues, with domestic and ACL commitments coming up, the winger’s class and experience is a welcome addition for this busy period.
6: Steven Ugarkovic (signed by Newcastle Jets) Who didn’t love the Olyroo midfielder’s tidy performance in the shock win over City on Sunday? A very handy pick up.
5: Shane Lowry (signed by Perth Glory) Perth boy, always wanted to play for Glory and like Keogh, is looking a very smart buy. Has made an instant impact.
4: Morten Nordstrand (signed by Newcastle Jets) If his Jets home debut is anything to go by, the Dane’s combination with Trifunovic will reap goals. Quality player. Great addition to the league.
3: Luis Garcia (signed by Mariners) A hit on and off the park, Liverpool great Garcia signing on the Central Coast has been one of the most eye-catching acquisitions in the window.
2: Alex Wilkinson (signed by Melbourne City) A current World Cup defender with vast experience in the A-League and in Asia. Wilko’s window signing is a brilliant one for title hopefuls City.
1: And the number transfer window signing is… Andy Keogh, signed Perth Glory. It’s no coincidence that Glory’s form upswing has come as Keogh returned. And he’s only going to get better as the season unfolds.
