Disgraced Al Hilal striker Nassir Al Shamrani has successfully reduced his ban for spitting and head-butting Western Sydney Wanderers defender Matthew Spiranovic in last year’s AFC Champions League final.
Al Shamrani was originally banned for eight games for the ugly scenes following the Wanderers historic 1-0 aggregate win over the Saudi club.
But an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport saw the panel reduce the ban to six matches, with the other two moved to a two-year probationary period.
