Sydney FC will stay in a hotel on Friday night to help give them an “away game” mentality heading into Saturday night’s blockbuster against Melbourne Victory at Sydney’s Allianz Stadium.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last seven games on the road but have only won twice at home this season.
So with that in mind, Graham Arnold’s men will stay in a hotel as a team tonight in an attempt to replicate preparations for an away game.
Sydney FC captain Alex Brosque said it was the first time the squad had taken such measures ahead of playing a home game this campaign.
“I guess that’s a small way of keeping everyone focused on what will be a very big game,” Brosque told reporters on Friday.
“We’re definitely aware of the fact that we’ve done very well away from home and our home form hasn’t been up to scratch.
“Arnie’s [Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold] made us aware that if we can start picking up points and start making our home ground as intimidating as it should be then we should be good.”
