A thigh injury looks set to rule Western Sydney FC striker Tomi Juric out of the Foxtel A-League All Stars clash against Juventus but he should be fit enough for the Asian Champions League quarter finals.
In another injury blow to the Wanderers ahead of their two-leg ACL quarter final against Guangzhou Evergrande on August 20, Juric has reportedly picked up a strain in training.
The Australian newspaper reports the 23-year-old has been ordered to rest for at least 10 days, all but ruling him out of the All Stars clash at ANZ Stadium on August 10.
It also means the former Adelaide striker could also be in doubt for the club’s August 12 clash in the Westfield FFA Cup.
Foxtel A-League All Stars coach Josep Gombau is expected to make a decision before the team goes into camp in Wollongong on Friday, although it’s not know if he will call in a replacement should Juric be omitted.
The striker missed the club’s 1-0 friendly win over Canberra United on Wednesday night but the club hopes he will be right for their huge ACL clash at Pirtek Stadium in just under three weeks.
The news comes after Wanderers and Socceroo defender Matthew Spiranovic was ruled out for around 10 weeks after undergoing ankle surgery on Monday.
