Melbourne City FC’s home matches at AAMI Park promise to be full of noise and colour with the club expanding their active supporter areas due to increased demand ahead of the new Hyundai A-League season.
With excitement around the club reaching fever pitch following the additions of David Villa for ten games and Damien Duff for the season, fans are flocking to get their active supporter memberships for the new season.
Less than 100 seats are left in the current section in bays 16, 17 and 18 at the Yarra River end, compelling club officials to extend these bays vertically to get more people in.
Melbourne City FC’s first home match of the new Hyundai A-League season is against Newcastle Jets on October 19.
Before that, John van ‘t Schip’s troops have their first hit-out in the Westfield FFA Cup round of 32 against Sydney FC in Ballarat on August 12.
The squad recently returned from the UK where they spent almost three weeks training at Carrington in Manchester, the home base of majority owners Manchester City.
