Brockie recently signed with Toronto FC to play in the MLS amongst the likes of Aussie superstar Tim Cahill, Thierry Henry and Landon Donovan, with the Kiwi international already having an impact on the side.
Brockie scored his first MLS goal in the fifth minute of Toronto’s clash with Eastern Conference front-runners Montreal Impact before setting up his side’s second goal minutes later.
Despite taking a 3-1 lead into halftime, Brockie’s side could only manage a 3-3 draw as they remain second last in the Eastern Conference with 2 wins, 7 draws and 8 losses from 17 matches.
The prolific goal scorer will be rueing some missed chances though despite his good performance as he had two chances to secure his team three points, blazing over from 12 yards out in the 67th minute before hitting the post in the 89th minute.
The Wellington Phoenix star scored 16 goals in 24 appearances for the New Zealand side last season, a Phoenix record for most goals in the season.
