Western Sydney Wanderers have confirmed the signing of striker Tom Juric on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old joins the Wanderers after completing a short-term stint with Adelaide United, having recently returned to Australia after five years of playing abroad in Croatia.
He scored a goal in his first appearance for Adelaide as a substitute against Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium. That finish landed Juric in the competition-s history books – as the scorer of the fastest goal by an Hyundai A-League debutant.
Born in western Sydney, Juric said he was looking forward to potential on offer with Tony Popovic’s side.
“I have the utmost respect for Tony Popovic and everything he has achieved this year. For me to now join him and the club as they prepare for the next season is very exciting and will really help me grow as a player.
“To come back to Sydney and play in western Sydney where I grew up is real motivation to work hard and become a better player. To also come back into a team that is preparing for both the A-league season and the AFC Champions League is an amazing opportunity for me.”
