Melbourne Victory have released Sam Gallagher, Tando Velaphi, Spase Dilevski and Diogo Ferreira from their contracts, which were dueto expire at season’s end.
Melbourne Victory Football Club has today released four players whose contracts were due to expire at the end of the current season.
Coach Ange Postecoglou confirmed Diogo Ferreira, Spase Dilevski, Tando Velaphi and Sam Gallagher would not be offered new contracts as the club prepares for its next campaign.
The longest-serving of the four, Ferreira, played 57 games in Victory colours, including five Asian Champions League (ACL) appearances, scoring three goals across both competitions – highlighted by a spectacular strike against South Korean club, Jeju United.
Postecoglou said all four players had left their mark on the club during their time at Melbourne Victory.
“All of those guys were great clubmen and certainly put in a lot of hard work during their time with us,” Postecoglou said.
“Unfortunately the boys won’t be a part of our future campaigns, but we as a club wish them nothing but the best and sincerely thank them for their efforts both on and off the pitch.”
