Central Coast Mariners have been placed in Group H for the AFC Champions League 2013 along with Guizhou Renhe (CHN), Suwon Samsung Bluewings (KOR) and the winner of the Japanese Emperor’s Cup which will be known on 1 January 2013.
The AFC Champions League Draw 2013 took place tonight in Kuala Lumpur.
Central Coast Mariners have been placed in Group H for the AFC Champions League 2013 along with Guizhou Renhe (CHN), Suwon Samsung Bluewings (KOR) and the winner of the Japanese Emperor’s Cup which will be known on 1 January 2013.
Brisbane Roar will have to play-off against Thai Club, Buriram United (THA), to enable them to join Group E of the AFC Champions League with FC Seoul (KOR), Vegalta Sendai (JPN) and Jiangsu Sainty (CHN).
Due to the Hyundai A-League fixture schedule and the unavailability of Suncorp Stadium on the proposed date for the play-off match (9 February, 2013), Football Federation Australia is working closely with Brisbane Roar, Buriram United, the Thai FA and the Asian Football Confederation to coordinate a potential rescheduled date and location for the qualifying fixture.
