Brisbane striker Besart Berisha has capped off his incredible season with a sweep of all the Roar’s major Hyundai A-League awards on Saturday night.
Having already won this season’s Golden Boot award with a record 21 goals, Berisha added the Roar’s Players’ Player of the Year and Members’ Player of the Year awards before claiming the coveted Gary Wilkins Medal for player of the year, at Brisbane’s official end-of-season presentation.
The Albanian also has a championship to add to his collection after he scored the winning penalty against Perth Glory in the grand final on April 22.
Berisha achievements read all the more impressive given it was his first season in the A-League following his move from German club Arminia Bielefeld.
Team-mate Massimo Murdocca was also recognised after he broke the record for most appearances at the club with 139 to date.
Midfielder Tameka Butt was named the Roar’s W-League Player of the Year while Aivi Luik won the Players’ Player of the Year award.
Both players have secured overseas deals with Butt on her way to US side Boston Breakers and Luik to Denmark.
