The addition of Dutch defender Bas van den Brink will add more depth to Perth Glory, according to coach Ian Ferguson.
Ferguson said the signing of the former Gold Coast United player until the end of the 2012-2013 season will be a big boost for the club’s playing stocks.
“It’s great to have Bas on board,” he said.
“He’s another new face into the squad and a quality signing.”
“Compared to last season I’m really pleased with the squad.”
Van den Brink said he looked forward to playing with Glory, after a two-year stint at Gold Coast United.
“I have been very impressed with the squad coach Ian Ferguson has assembled,” Van den Brink said.
“I’m delighted to be heading to Perth and helping the club achieve success this season.”
Van den Brink is one of five foreign players at the club along with Victor Sikora (Netherlands), Steven McGarry (Scotland), Liam Miller (Ireland) and Branko Jelic (Serbia).
Perth begin their Hyundai A-League campaign against Adelaide United on October 9.
