Sydney FC’s depth stocks will be tested in the coming months with news that Matthew Jurman will miss the remainder of the Hyundai A-League season with a stress fracture in his right foot.

Jurman will be on crutches for the next six weeks before immediately beginning a rehabilitation program.

The 20-year-old is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of 2010/11 pre-season training.

“It’s really disappointing because both the A-League and Youth League teams are doing very well,” Jurman said.

“Sydney FC has been great to me. I will rest up and work closely with our club physiotherapist and do everything right.”

After making his debut last year, the Qantas Young Socceroo has made seven appearances off the bench this campaign.

The Sky Blues are currently on top of the ladder, three points clear of Melbourne, and travel to Perth this weekend for a tricky match against the Glory on Sunday.
