The independent Match Review Panel, consisting of Barry Such (Chair), Brad Maloney and Simon Micallef, convened to consider the following incidents from Round 9 of the Hyundai A-League.

The independent Match Review Panel, consisting of Barry Such (Chair), Brad Maloney and Simon Micallef, convened to consider the following incidents from Round 9 of the Hyundai A-League:

• The incident involving Danny Tiatto (Brisbane Roar) in the 38th minute of Brisbane’s match against Melbourne Victory on Saturday night. As the incident escaped the attention of the referee, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident. The MRP found that Danny Tiatto had committed the offence of “Use of offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures” and proposed a sanction of one (1) match. The player has until 12pm noon (Brisbane Time) tomorrow to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a hearing by the FFA Disciplinary Committee.

• The incident involving Charlie Miller (Brisbane Roar) and Robbie Kruse (Melbourne Victory) in the 87th minute of the match between the clubs on Saturday night. As the incident escaped the attention of referee, the MRP has the authority to consider the incident. The MRP found that Charlie Miller had committed the offence of “Violent Conduct” against Kruse and proposed a sanction of two (2) matches. The player has until 12pm noon (Brisbane Time) tomorrow to accept the proposed sanction or refer the matter to a hearing by the FFA Disciplinary Committee.
Football Federation Australia advises that Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory have been charged with the following Team Misconduct offence:

• Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory for Team Misconduct following the 38th minute melee. The clubs have until 1pm Thursday, 8 August, to respond.
