The last time Adelaide conceded a card was in the 72nd minute of their Round 11 match (against Central Coast), which makes for 288 minutes of play since receiving their last card. Adelaide United continued to run away with first position on the Hyundai A-League 2005/06 ladder with a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory in Round 17, putting the Reds nine points clear at the top with just foure rounds remaining.
2006/07
Round 17, 2006/07 sees Ante Covic make his Hyundai A-League debut for the Newcastle Jets in a 2-3 loss at Hindmarsh Stadium, this match featuring the last appearance in the Hyundai A-League of the 1994 FIFA World Player of the Year, Romario, for Adelaide.
