Adelaide United is aiming to break the all-time Hyundai A-League record for most time played without conceding a yellow or red card. The last time Adelaide conceded a card was in the 72nd minute of their Round 11 match (against Central Coast), which makes for 288 minutes of play since receiving their last card. Adelaide need to go 19 minutes into their match against Perth Glory this weekend to break the current record of 306 minutes without conceding a card, set by Queensland Roar between Rounds 13 and 16 of the 2005/06 season.

Adelaide United continued to run away with first position on the Hyundai A-League 2005/06 ladder with a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory in Round 17, putting the Reds nine points clear at the top with just foure rounds remaining.

2006/07
Round 17, 2006/07 sees Ante Covic make his Hyundai A-League debut for the Newcastle Jets in a 2-3 loss at Hindmarsh Stadium, this match featuring the last appearance in the Hyundai A-League of the 1994 FIFA World Player of the Year, Romario, for Adelaide.

2007/08
Sydney FC’s inaugural captain Mark Rudan made his farewell appearance for the club in Round 17, 2007/08.
