2006/07
The goal of the 2006/07 season – and arguably still the best goal ever scored in the Hyundai A-League – was scored by Newcastle-s Nick Carle after a dazzling long run and perfect strike on target, securing a 2-1 win over Adelaide at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
2007/08
Round 10, 2007/08 included a typically high-scoring Sydney FC-Central Coast Mariners match, Sydney getting up 3-2 to knock the Mariners off the top of the ladder for the first time in 2007/08.
