Queensland has reclaimed striker Reinaldo in a key signing for the Roar on the eve of the new Hyundai A-League season.
The 24-year-old has rejoined the club after being released by the Roar after the last campaign to pursue opportunities in Asia.
However, Reinaldo and K-League side Busan I’Park had agreed to part ways.
The A-League outfit beat Major League Soccer franchise Colorado Rapids and two other Australian clubs for his signature and have locked him away on a three-year deal.
Roar coach Frank Farina said he was delighted to have the tall striker at his disposal.
“This is a great signing for the club,” Farina said.
“We never wanted him to go in the first place, but we let him go to further his career in Asia.”
“With Sergio van Dijk and Tim Smits in the mix it is going to be a very exciting forward line.”
“We will definitely have more firepower and more options.”
Reinaldo has scored 15 times for Queensland in 47 appearances.
He is expected to arrive back in early August.
