A star is born: Kerr’s Goal of the Year in 2009
Kerr made her Westfield W-League debut as a 15-year-old during the 2009 Westfield W-League season, but she hit the ground running immediately.
No clearer was Kerr’s potential more emphatically emphasised than her stunning long range effort against Sydney FC in November of the 2009 campaign.
Kerr was just 16 years old at the time, but could stamp her authority on a match like a seasoned professional.
That was underlined when she danced past her markers and fired an incredible 35-yard shot into the top corner to stun Leichhardt Oval.
Perth were soundly beaten 5-2 by the Sky Blues on the day, but a star was born – Kerr went on to claim the Player’s Player of the Year award.
Kerr clinches maiden Westfield W-League silverware with Sydney FC
Three years on from that stunning strike in Sydney’s inner west, Kerr – now wearing the Sky Blue jersey – guided Sydney FC to their second Westfield W-League Championship.
And it was Kerr who helped inspire Sydney FC to a memorable 3-1 Grand Final triumph against Melbourne Victory.
Kerr scored nine goals in 12 appearances that season, but few were important as her brilliant diving header which put the Sky Blues ahead 2-1 early in the second stanza.
Kerr returns to fire Perth to Premiership
Having spent two successful seasons in the Harbour City, Kerr returned to her hometown club in 2014.
Re-signing the Fremantle-born forward proved a masterstroke – Kerr scored 11 goals in 10 matches to inspire Perth to their first ever Westfield W-League Premiership.
Having wrapped up silverware with a 5-0 trouncing of Western Sydney Wanderers the week previous, Kerr score a Round 11 hat-trick against Sydney FC – arguably her finest moment in a memorable comeback campaign.
Kerr devastates Newcastle with 10-minute hat-trick
2017 will always be remembered as year of the Kerr.
And the striker both signed off from a prolific year and laid down a marker to continue her rise with a memorable 10-minute hat-trick for Glory against Newcastle Jets.
That stunning cameo highlighted just what a lethal, game-changing threat Kerr has become and was a snapshot of why she would go on to clinch the PFA Women’s Footballer of the Year, the Julie Dolan Medal and the Asian Women’s Footballer of the Year award too.

Kerr brings up the half-ton for Glory
A decade on from her maiden Westfield W-League strike for Glory, Kerr brought up her 50th in Perth colours in Round 12 of this season.
The occasion was soured somewhat for the Australian sharp-shooter, with a 3-1 loss to Newcastle Jets coming as a big blow to Glory’s finals hopes.
But, there was ample consolation for Kerr, who showed off her classic predatory instincts to slide between two Newcastle defenders and plant an unstoppable header into the top corner.
That strike brought her level with Westfield Matildas teammate Michelle Heyman – and Thursday’s brace has taken her to the top on her own.
