The Central Coast Mariners have parted ways with manager Mike Mulvey, effective immediately.
The decision was made in the wake of the Mariners’ 8-2 loss at the hands of Wellington Phoenix at Central Coast Stadium on Saturday night.

The club did not confirm a replacement or interim to lead the side over the six remaining games of their Hyundai A-League season but said an announcement would be forthcoming.
There are no other departures from the coaching staff at this point.
Mulvey joined the Mariners in the off-season with an eye to re-building the club after a lean few years and was proactive in signing a host of young players.
On the field however the Mariners have struggled, sitting in 10th place for large portions of this campaign.
The club thanked Mulvey for his work and wished him all the best for the future in a short press release.
