Sydney FC have parted ways with their hall of fame member and general manager of football operations, Terry McFlynn.
McFlynn has been part of the Sky Blues’ fabric since the club’s inaugural season in 2006, when they lifted the first Hyundai A-League Championship, and he captained the club to their second title in 2010.

When the Northern Irishman hung up his boots in 2014, following 214 appearances in all competitions, which included a Premiers Plate triumph as well as two Championships, he took on the position of general manager of player welfare.
McFlynn moved into his most recent role in 2017, working under head coaches Graham Arnold and Steve Corica as the Sky Blues brought another Premiership, Championship and an FFA Cup back to the Harbour City.
With McFlynn departing the Sky Blues to pursue other football opportunities, chairman Scott Barlow paid his tributes.
“Terry is a Sydney FC legend, hall of fame member and will always be part of the Sydney FC family,” Barlow said.
Head coach Corica added: “Terry has been a fantastic ambassador for Sydney FC and will be forever synonymous with the Sky Blues.”
