“I don’t like to speak about myself, about what I can deliver, all I can say that is I will always give 100% on-and-off the field.
“The most important thing for me is that as a team we all stand for each other, in bad and in good times, and the better the environment we create, success can come from this.”
Meier spent five seasons playing with Wanderers midfielder Pirmin Schwegler between 2009-14.
His signing was confirmed by Wanderers boss Babbel prior to his side’s 3-0 FFA Cup 2019 Quarter Final defeat to Melbourne City on Wednesday night.
“It’s very important because he’s a really good striker with a lot of experience, a top professional and the special thing is he’s different to what we have,” Babbel told FOX Sports.
“I was looking exactly for this type of player and I’m really happy that the waiting was for the right reasons.”
Meier will arrive in Western Sydney on Sunday morning.
