Sydney FC trio Caitlin Foord, Chloe Logarzo and Alanna Kennedy are all set for action in the final round of the National Women’s Soccer League regular season this weekend.
The final make up of the NWSL table is almost set in stone, but there’s still a third-place finish up for grabs for between Foord’s Portland Thorns and Reign FC.
Portland currently occupy third position, and a point against Washington Spirit this Sunday will secure third and tee up a Playoff date with the Chicago Red Stars, who have locked up second place, on October 21.
But it will not be straightforward against Logarzo’s fifth-placed Washington Spirit. That clash kicks off at 1.30pm AEDT.
Meanwhile, Reign FC travel to Kennedy’s Orlando Pride on Sunday, 10.30am AEDT, looking to post three points that will lift them above Portland should the Thorns slip up against Washington.
Whichever team finishes fourth will face 2019 Shield winners North Carolina Courage in the Playoffs on October 21.
