Brisbane Roar have announced the signing of foundation Westfield W-League midfielder Elise Kellond-Knight.
The 29-year-old Westfield Matilda returns to the Roar for her second stint, having previously won two Championships and a Premiership during her previous eight seasons at the club.
She is the third Roar foundation member to sign on for the Queenslanders, following the signatures of two-time Julie Dolan Medal winner Clare Polkinghorne and all-time leading goal scorer Tameka Yallop.
“It’s like I’ve stepped out of time and come back in,” said Kellond-Knight, who represented Melbourne City last season.
“It’s great to come home and be surrounded by everything I grew up with and live close to my family – it’ll be a great thing for me.”
