Towering Perth Glory defender Gregory Wuthrich continues to shine in the west and has been rewarded by taking out the Hyundai A-League Player of the Month award for January.
The Swiss central defender, a key off-season recruit by coach Tony Popovic, enjoyed a flawless month as Glory continued their amazing unbeaten run.
Glory began January with a crushing 3-0 win over Adelaide United before backing it up the following week by defeating Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0.
That win over the Wanderers was Glory’s sixth in a row, setting a new club record-winning streak in the process.
Popovic’s side then ended the month with a goalless draw against Melbourne City, meaning they didn’t concede a goal in January.
