Roar to take on EPL sides Crystal Palace and West Ham in July

Brisbane Roar have locked in a couple of high-profile clashes ahead of the Hyundai A-League 2020/21 Season with Premier League clubs West Ham and Crystal Palace heading Down Under.

Robbie Fowler’s Roar and the two EPL sides will take part in a three-team tournament – EVA Air Queensland Champions Cup – between July 11 and 18.

The competition will see each club play two matches, with games to be played in Townsville, the Gold Coast and at Roar’s home ground in Brisbane, Suncorp Stadium.

“Brisbane Roar prides itself on being a football club for all of Queensland and we are looking forward to playing two exciting fixtures in Townsville and on the Gold Coast in July,” Roar CEO David Pourre said.

“It is a unique opportunity for Brisbane to also be hosting a fixture featuring two of England’s most famous clubs.
