It was a weekend that saw Melbourne City and Sydney FC move 90 minutes away from making Westfield W-League history – and here are the images that told the story.
City and Sydney booked their spot in the 2020 Grand Final after 5-1 and 1-0 wins over Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory respectively on the weekend.
With both sides holding three Championships to their name, City and Sydney will not only be vying for the 2019/20 title but the chance to become the first team in history to register a fourth win.
The final will be played behind closed doors due to COVID-19 measures announced on Monday by FFA CEO James Johnson and FFA Head of Leagues Greg O’Rourke.
Details for the Grand Final are to be confirmed.
