The Newcastle Jets will be seeking a measure of revenge after Western Sydney Wanderers edged their Round 2 contest as both sides aim to kick-start their campaigns on Saturday.
A double from Rosie Galea, either side of Tara Andrews’ strike, eared the Red and Black a 2-1 victory when the teams met at Blacktown International Sportspark back on January 2.
Dean Heffernan’s Wanderers have not been able to add any further points to that home triumph, following back-to-back losses against Harbour City rivals Sydney FC.
Last season’s first-time Semi Finalists will hope another win against the Jets will change their fortunes, while Ash Wilson’s team will see an opportunity to build on last week’s 1-1 draw against Brisbane Roar which secured the Hunter outfit’s maiden point of the campaign.
