Jamie Maclaren made Australian football history in Matchweek 19, becoming the quickest player to 100 league goals in the history of the country’s national leagues.
But it was his 101st goal – scored against Perth Glory on Wednesday night – that John Kosmina picked out as the best goal of Matchweek 19.
Maclaren combined with Marco Tilio and Scott Galloway to help create the move, proceeding to finish the opportunity which put City 3-1 ahead – the final score on the night.
“He scored his 100th just prior to this one, but his second goal against Perth on Wednesday night was pure joy to watch,” Kosmina said.
“Lots of combination play – he was involved in three actions, the third one being that final finish from an acute angle.
“The agree of difficulty quite high, plenty of combination play, everyone understood their movement – a really wonderful goal, well done Jamie.”
