Three goals, one assist and one record day for Daniela Galic

With three goals and one assist, Daniela Galic notched an unprecedented 49-point fantasy haul in Round 11.

It’s the highest single-round total by an individual player recorded since the start of fantasy in 2022-23 – including double gameweeks, where clubs and players have had the opportunity to play twice in one round.

Galic was an underperforming fantasy asset early in the season, but has suddenly rocketed into second spot on the Liberty A-League fantasy scoring charts.

Three consecutive single-round scores of four points between Rounds 2-4 saw Galic’s fantasy value drop to just $208k, but the 17-year-old has since turned it all around at City. Galic has scored 10 points or above in five of her last six appearances, with Round 11’s 49-point haul catapulting her value to $441k, and her three-game scoring average to 24.3.

Galic led the Round 11 Team of the Week as part of a five-player midfield, with Western United midfielder Chloe Logarzo and Melbourne City’s Kaitlyn Torpey both recording individual scores of 30+.

Logarzo’s 37-point haul came as a result of two goals in Western’s 4-1 win over Melbourne Victory.

Sophie Harding also scored a brace in Western Sydney Wanderer’s 2-0 win over Perth Glory; Harding scored 23 fantasy points and took a special piece of Wanderers history in the process, reaching eight goals for the campaign and breaking the club’s all-time individual Liberty A-League season scoring record.

Canberra United defender Sarah Clark scored 21 fantasy points in her side’s 3-3 stalemate with Newcastle Jets; her 84th-minute strike from long range was the sixth and final goal in an entertaining draw, and earned a nomination for Goal of the Week honours in the process.

Who replaces Marco Túlio?

It’s a question not only Mariners’ boss Mark Jackson is asking himself heading into Round 12, but Central Coast fans and fantasy managers alike.

One of the stars of the Isuzu UTE A-League is off to Japan, and for 9.1% of fantasy managers, striker Marco Túlio’s departure leaves $603k value on the table, and the challenge to find an adequate replacement for the Brazilian who has averaged 20 fantasy points across his last three appearances for the Mariners.

The most popular transfer made among fantasy managers heading into Round 12 is currently to drop Túlio in favour of in-form Macarthur FC striker Valère Germain.

The Frenchman scored 30 points in Round 11 (a double gameweek for the Bulls) and has a three-game scoring average of 16.3. His $407k price tag means managers trading Túlio out and Germain in are left with nearly $200k in the bank to strengthen their fantasy squads in other areas.

Germain’s 30-point haul in Round 11 was the highest around the Isuzu UTE A-League. The Bulls striker led this week’s Team of the Week along Adelaide’s Hiroshi Ibusuki and Kosta Barbarouses in a front three; Ibusuki and Barbarouses both scored two goals apiece in an entertaining 2-2 draw between their two clubs in Round 11.

Melbourne City’s Hamza Sakhi scored his very first A-Leagues goal in some style on the weekend, and earned a place the Team of the Week’s five-man midfield as a result alongside Zinedine Machach, Clayton Taylor and a pair of Reds, Zach Clough and Giuseppe Bovalina.

Just two defenders made the Team of the Week, one of which being Perth Glory youngster Kaelan Majekodunmi who, like Sakhi, scored his maiden A-Leagues goal in Round 11.
