Lolley’s incredible numbers when Sydney FC win

There’s been a few guarantees when Sydney FC score a goal this Isuzu UTE A-League season.

The Sky Blues win and Joe Lolley scores.

Lolley fired home a brace in Sydney’s 4-2 victory over Western United on the weekend, helping his side to only their third victory in the league this season.

The Englishman has been on an absolute tear in each of these three matches, scoring a combined five goals in those matches against Adelaide United, Perth Glory and most recently – Western.

He also has three assists, two of those coming in the clash with the Reds and the other for Jack Rodwell’s goal on Saturday evening at Allianz Stadium.

It’s yielded some incredible scores in Official A-Leagues Fantasy, tallying 40 points against Adelaide, 21 points against Perth and a whopping 36 points against Western – which is the most of any Isuzu UTE A-League player in Round 9.

Lolley is now worth a hefty $577,600, a $126.7k increase on his already huge starting price of $450.9k.

However, by comparison, in games where Sydney haven’t won he’s only scored an accumulative 40 points in six matches.

It’s high risk, high reward with Lolley so far this season, but his ceiling has made him one of the most dangerous players in Fantasy.

Vine time arrives in A-Leagues Fantasy

Cortnee Vine rewarded the 34.4% of coaches who kept her in their sides in Official A-Leagues Fantasy with her best performance yet.

Vine scored the equaliser in Sydney FC’s 1-1 draw with Brisbane Roar on Friday night, yielding a points tally of 16 which is her highest of the campaign so far.

The Matildas winger made her first start for the Sky Blues since a hamstring injury on international duty in October, and was dynamite at Leichhardt Oval, time and again looking like Sydney’s greatest threat.

Continuing this form can only bode well for her Official A-Leagues Fantasy output, especially as coaches look to potentially bring her into their teams over the next few weeks.

For those who may not remember, Vine was the fourth highest overall scorer in all of A-League Women’s Fantasy last season, averaging 12.2 points per game.

Vine is currently priced at $348,2K, a $130.5k dip from her starting price, meaning now is the time to strike before that price starts to soar once more.

Her breakeven heading into this weekend’s clash against Wellington Phoenix sits at 14, and according to the Assistant Coach function, she’s anticipated to dip in price again, should she score her projected seven points – which will mean she dips another $23k to $325k.

However, should she put together another solid score against the ‘Nix, that breakeven will dip significantly, meaning a price hike will follow as a result of her breakeven heading into Round 11 dipping significantly.

Mariners dominate Teams of the Week

Central Coast Mariners had a weekend to remember in both the Isuzu UTE A-League and Liberty A-League.

The men’s side kicked off the weekend with a resounding 3-0 victory over Brisbane Roar, before their women’s outfit rounded out the weekend by demolishing Canberra United by the same scoreline.

As a result, Mariners have dominated both Teams of the Week, with 22 of the available slots filled by eight Central Coast players.

It’s no surprise that once again Angel Torres is part of the Isuzu UTE A-League Team of the Week, scoring 24 points after yet another huge performance against Brisbane, while his partner in crime Marco Tulio added 20 points of his own.

Storm Roux (19 points) along with Dan Hall and Danny Vukovic (both 15 points) rounded out the defence. All three recorded solid points as a result of their clean sheet, but Roux’s was bolstered even more thanks to his assist for Tulio’s opener.

Brian Kaltak, Jacob Farrell and Josh Nisbet all registered 12 points each, but just missed out on Team of the Week honours.
