Here’s how all the action on a jam-packed day in the Liberty A-League and Isuzu UTE A-League.
In the Liberty A-League, high-flying Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Jerry Collins Stadium before defending champions Sydney FC defeated Newcastle Jets 1-0 at No.2 Sportsground while Canberra United demolished Brisbane Roar 5-1 at McKellar Park.
Over in the Isuzu UTE A-League, in-form Brisbane Roar defeated Adelaide United 2-0 at Coopers Stadium, before Western Sydney Wanderers and Melbourne Victory played out a seven-goal thriller at CommBank Stadium, with the visitors coming away 4-3 victors.

MATCH REPORT: ‘Nix & Victory share spoils in Liberty A-League after wild four-goal first half
Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in their top-four Liberty A-League battle.
All four goals were scored in the opening half as the third-placed Phoenix and fourth-placed Victory traded goals in a thrilling first 45 minutes at Jerry Collins Stadium on Sunday.
Victory captain Kayla Morrison broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, only for Kate Taylor to restore parity two minutes later.
The Phoenix hit the front for the first time thanks to Emma Main’s maiden Liberty A-League strike but Kurea Okino put the visitors back on level terms in the 37th minute.
Mariana Speckmaier had a golden chance to snatch victory with five minutes remaining, only to blaze over the crossbar.

MATCH REPORT: Brisbane’s red hot start continues with impressive victory over Adelaide
Brisbane Roar’s fine start to the Isuzu UTE A-League season continued on Sunday afternoon, with an impressive 2-0 victory over Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium.
Jez Lofthouse opened the scoring just after half-time, before a Jay O’Shea penalty wrapped up the victory for Brisbane who are now firmly entrenched in the top four after seven rounds.
It was also their first win over the Reds since January 2021 and first at Hindmarsh since December 2017.
Ross Aloisi’s side have won four of their opening seven games to start the season, continuing a brilliant start to his first reign as a senior head coach in the Isuzu UTE A-League.
Perhaps the most impressive part of Brisbane’s win was the fact they did it without a host of key players, losing defensive duo Scott Neville and Antonee Burke-Gilroy to injury in the first-half, while also being without the likes of Henry Hore, Florin Berenguer and Corey Brown.
Meanwhile, Adelaide have lost three of their last four games, but remain inside the top six on goal difference ahead of Melbourne City. In a further blow for the Reds, young attacker Musa Toure was forced off the field with a leg injury late in the contest.

MATCH REPORT: Matildas star makes goalscoring return to take down Jets
Cortnee Vine made her long-awaited comeback from injury and scored the winning goal to lead Liberty A-League champions Sydney FC past Newcastle Jets 1-0.
Matildas hero Vine had not featured for Sydney since Round 2, having picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty for Australia in October.
Vine was back in Newcastle on Sunday, coming off the bench and breaking the deadlock with six minutes remaining for her first goal of the season.

MATCH REPORT: Canberra star’s incredible season continues with hat-trick but injury overshadows Roar rout
Vesna Milivojevic scored a stunning hat-trick but she was left in tears after limping off with a knee injury in Canberra United 5-1 demolition of Brisbane Roar in the Liberty A-League.
Milivojevic scored the first hat-trick of her senior career as Canberra out Brisbane to the sword at McKellar Park on Sunday.
However, the Canberra star had to be substituted moments after completing her treble and taking her 2023-24 tally to a league-high eight goals as an injury overshadowed the incredible performance in the nation’s capital.
Sophia Christopherson and Mary Stanic-Floody were also on target for Canberra, who won for just the second this time season while the Roar crashed to a fourth consecutive defeat.

MATCH REPORT: History-making Fornaroli bolsters Asian Cup case as Victory survive to end Wanderers’ unbeaten start
Bruno Fornaroli has become the third player in A-Leagues history to score 100 league goals, firing home all four goals as Melbourne Victory’s hung on to a thrilling 4-3 win over Western Sydney Wanderers at CommBank Stadium.
Fornaroli took his tally to 11 goals for the season and by the same token, reaching his A-Leagues tonne as he fired Victory to all three points on Sunday evening.
It continues an incredible start to the campaign that has Fornaroli sitting well clear atop the Golden Boot standings after seven rounds and right in contention for a call-up to the Socceroos squad for the Asian Cup.
It’s the second time ‘El Tuna’ has scored four goals in a single game this season, with his fourth goal in the 75th minute making him the third player to reach the feat after Melbourne City’s Jamie Maclaren and former Victory striker Besart Berisha.
However, Western Sydney almost spoiled the party with a late fightback.
Marcus Antonsson scored a brace either side of ‘El Tuna’s’ fourth to spark a late fightback, before Valentino Yuel’s first goal in Wanderers colours set up a grandstand finish but Victory were able to hold on to hand Wanderers their first loss of the Isuzu UTE A-League season.
